Liquidware Demonstrates AWM For Microsoft, VMware, and Citrix at VMworld 2019

Sun, 2019-08-25 21:13

Solutions on display at VMworld booth 563

San Francisco, CA - August 26, 2019 - Liquidware is demonstrating the industry’s only adaptive workspace management suite at VMworld this week at booth 563. The company’s application layering, user management, and monitoring and diagnostics solutions work across any Windows workspace deployment, thereby centralizing the management of multiple desktop environments and enabling seamless migration of users to an organization’s platform of choice.

In the wake of announcements and blogs from VMware where Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), Citrix, and other desktop platforms are being embraced by VMware, Liquidware’s adaptive suite is ideal for organizations with mixed desktop deployments or those that are looking to migrate to an emerging solution such as Microsoft WVD.

"Being platform agnostic means Liquidware customers can embrace any desktop and workspace, whether physical, virtual or cloud-based," commented Jason E. Smith, VP Products at Liquidware. "With Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Virtual Desktop (EVD) also being delivered on top of VMware, customers have the challenge of how best to migrate their users in a seamless fashion. This is where Liquidware comes to the rescue!"

Liquidware recently announced full support for Windows 10 Multi-Session and will be demonstrating its solutions on Microsoft WVD and the new Microsoft OS at VMworld.

Over 50% of Liquidware deployments are on VMware platforms and, as customer choice for workspaces and Desktop-as-a-Service abound, it is critical that organizations ensure their users experience the same level of performance whichever platform they operate on.

"With heterogeneous desktop and workspace environments becoming ever more prevalent, managing them effectively must be a critical element of any IT department’s overall strategy. As Microsoft enters this burgeoning market with their Windows Virtual Desktop, it is essential that third party vendors continue to expand their support for new end user computing platforms," commented Tony Lock, Distinguished Analyst and Director of Engagement, Freeform Dynamics.

For organizations looking to embrace cloud-based desktops or workspaces, Liquidware provides the following advantages:

  • User Experience metrics and diagnostics across all Windows deployments, physical, virtual, and cloud
  • User Environment Management that stores user persistency from local profiles or FSLogix profile containers in any popular cloud including Microsoft Azure
  • Application Layering that minimizes base image management, works across all of your Windows desktops, and leverages centralized cloud storage such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon, or Google

Visit Liquidware at VMworld in San Francisco at booth # 563 to discover more about their unique Adaptive Workspace Management solutions.

Stratodesk and Liquidware Announce Joint Solution at VMworld 2019

Thu, 2019-08-22 13:08

The integration brings advanced management and endpoint visibility to VMware deployments

San Francisco, August 22, 2019 - Stratodesk, the leading endpoint OS and management solution provider, and Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management (AWM), today announced that they will be showcasing their NoTouch Desktop & Stratusphere UX joint solution at VMworld 2019 in San Francisco. They will also be sponsoring the Inside Track: a premier event where the EUC community meets and discusses new and evolving trends impacting the future of next-generation workspaces. Attendees who visit Stratodesk and Liquidware booths at VMworld will get a first-hand look at how the joint solution enables greater visibility of NoTouch OS including: endpoint utilization, resource consumption, and the visibility to better support endpoint management and meeting user experience goals.

"In order for staff to work effectively with the end points on which modern business depends, it is essential administrators have the tools to do the job. This means that the device they use, the operating system it employs and the workspace environment from where their applications and services run, must act in harmony. Managing the end point environment effectively and efficiently remains a challenge, one that requires visibility of the complete workspace environment, from the cloud or datacenter to the device being used at the edge," commented Tony Lock, Distinguished Analyst and Director of Engagement, Freeform Dynamics.

Stratodesk and Liquidware’s joint solution offers VMware customers critical advantages in managing, monitoring and diagnosing their next generation workspace environments, including:

  • Details on utilization of key end-point resources, such as CPU, RAM and connectivity metrics
  • Metrics and information associated with network performance, including latency, and details such as network I/O, and failed connections
  • Visibility to NoTouch Desktop-running applications, including VMware and other client application performance
  • Avoid misdirected finger pointing—to eliminate the client as a weak link in the delivery of the workspace

"Thanks to our joint solution with Stratusphere UX from Liquidware, Stratodesk delivers advanced management and endpoint monitoring and diagnostics to your NoTouch ecosystem," said Stratodesk Sales Director, Hernan Contreras. "This is just another example of how Stratodesk works with a wide range of industry leading technology partners to deliver the most cohesive endpoint OS and management solution on the market."

"We’re passionate about meeting end user performance goals and the delivery of user experience in all desktop and workspace environments," says Jason E. Smith VP Product Marketing at Liquidware. "Integration at the edge is an important link in the chain to overall visibility, and we could not be more excited about the partnership and the efforts Liquidware and Stratodesk have undertaken to this goal."

Visit Stratodesk at this year’s VMworld in San Francisco at booth 1763 and Liquidware at Booth 563 in the Digital Workspace Zone for an inside look at how the joint solution enables enterprises and organizations to harness the full effect of their VMware Horizon deployment.

Liquidware Showcases Microsoft WVD Application Layering at Microsoft Inspire

Sun, 2019-07-14 15:15

Cross OS Integration with FSLogix to be demonstrated on booth #1504 FlexApp Application Layering solution of choice for WVD

Las Vegas, NV - July 15, 2019 - Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management, today announced the latest version of its award winning ProfileUnity with FlexApp v6.8.3 that delivers new features including official FlexApp application layering support for Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) and cross OS integration with FSLogix. Liquidware is an inaugural partner of the Microsoft WVD ecosystem. The solution is also newly available on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace.

With this release, ProfileUnity and FlexApp will now deliver support for Windows 10 multi-session, Microsoft’s new OS version that is purposefully designed for Microsoft WVD. Liquidware’s Stratusphere UX User Experience monitoring and diagnostics solution is also compatible with WVD and the Windows 10 multi-session OS. The solutions are available in a popular adaptive workspace management suite known as Liquidware Essentials. Liquidware Essentials delivers enterprise workspace management for WVD or any Windows desktop (physical or virtual) and is cost-effectively priced as a subscription, providing full user environment management, application layering, and user experience monitoring.

ProfileUnity User Environment Management extends the functionality of Microsoft FSLogix to add cross-OS compatibility and fast backup and restore of profile containers, as well as centralized policy management with context awareness. When FSLogix and ProfileUnity are used together not only do users get fast logon times with their FSLogix profile container but profiles can also move seamlessly across Windows 7, 10, and Server 2012/16 RDS environments. FSLogix profile containers is also automatically backed up by ProfileUnity’s portability feature and can easily be restored in the event of a profile corruption or user induced data loss in the profile. ProfileUnity includes tight integration with Microsoft Azure, enabling FSLogix profiles to be restored directly from Azure cloud storage. A demonstration of ProfileUnity and FSLogix working together in a Microsoft WVD environment is available at the Liquidware booth #1504.

“Delivering end user computing workspaces on demand from the cloud is enabling far more flexibility and agility for organizations,” commented Jason E. Smith, VP Products Liquidware. “However, managing these workspaces and ensuring application availability and compatibility is critical for success. That is why many of our joint customers looking at moving to WVD are planning to embed Liquidware solutions in their overall deployment strategy. Our solutions provide seamless onboarding to WVD, ongoing monitoring and diagnostics, including user experience metrics, as well as user environment management and application layering.”

Liquidware has recently authored a whitepaper entitled “An Introduction to Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop” that includes an online cost calculator that gives organizations an idea of the estimated cost of WVD. Microsoft has also recently published a joint solution brief detailing how Liquidware complements WVD, both documents can be found here: https://www.liquidware.com/solutions/solutions-platform/microsoft

Liquidware plans to make ProfileUnity and FlexApp v6.8.3 generally available within 30 days.
